Using Emburse Cards With Xero

This article explains how to connect Emburse Cards to Xero, manage the connection, sync transactions, and reconnect if the integration is disconnected.

Connect Emburse Cards And Xero

Follow these steps to connect your Emburse Cards account to Xero. You must have Accountant or Admin permissions to access the Accounting page.

1. Go to the Accounting page.
2. Open the Connect dropdown and select Xero.

3. Select Connect to Xero.

4. If you have multiple Xero organizations, select the organization you want to connect, then select Allow Access.

5. Create a new Xero account or select an existing Xero account to connect with Emburse Cards.

Creating a new Xero account syncs past statements from the previous 60 days.

Selecting an existing Xero account syncs statements starting from the first day of the previous month.

Your selected Xero account is now connected to Emburse Cards.

About The Emburse Cards And Xero Connection

Use these options to review the connection status and manage transaction syncing.

View Connection Status

Follow these steps to review the current integration status.

1. Go to the Accounting page.
2. Select View Connection Status.

Sync Transactions

Understand how transactions sync between Emburse Cards and Xero.

New posted transactions sync to Xero daily.

If you need to sync transactions manually, go to the Xero connection page and select Manually Sync Statements.

Remove Xero From Emburse Cards

Follow these steps to disconnect the integration.

1. Go to the Xero integration connection page.
2. Select Revoke Access to remove the connection between Emburse Cards and Xero.

Reconnect Xero To Emburse Cards

Use these steps if the connection is disconnected due to changes in Xero or a sync error.

1. Go to the Accounting page.
2. Open the Connect dropdown and select Xero.
3. Select View Connection Status.

4. Select Reconnect To Xero Account.
