It's important to understand the rules and limitations for assigning and managing Emburse Cards. This article will cover the rules for both physical and virtual cards. Here are the key guidelines:
- Admins cannot view full card details and will only be able to view the last 4 digits and expiration date of all Emburse Cards, besides those assigned to themselves.
- For compliance reasons, only the assignee of the card can view the full card information of the virtual card.
- Cards must be assigned to a user using their legal first and last name.
- Both physical and virtual cards can only be activated by the assigned cardholder and cannot be activated by an Administrator.
- Physical card details can only be viewed on the card itself and not accessible on the dashboard.
- Both virtual and physical cards cannot be assigned to a business, business location, or team.
- Cards cannot be reassigned to a different user once issued.
- Virtual and physical cards will not activate immediately upon creation:
- The cardholder must first accept the terms of service before the card becomes active.
- After the terms of service are accepted, any future virtual cards issued to that user will default to active upon creation. Physical cards will still require activation each time.
