Download Transaction Statements (CSV, PDF) And Receipts

This article explains how admins and accountants download transaction statements (CSV, PDF, or OFX) and receipt exports from Emburse Cards.

To download transaction statements or receipts, you must have Accountant or Admin permissions. For details, see User Roles.

Download Transaction Statements

Use these options to export transactions by month or for a custom date range.

In Emburse Cards, you can download transaction statements as CSV, PDF, or OFX files. For CSV statement guidance for accounting integrations, see Using Emburse With Intacct and Using Emburse With NetSuite.

Download Statements By Month

Follow these steps to download a statement for a single month.

1. Select the Accounting page.
2. Next to the month you want, select Download.
3. Select the file type you want to download.

Download Statements For A Custom Date Range

Use a custom export when you need a specific start and end date.

1. Select the Accounting page.
2. In the Statements section, select Custom Statement Export.
3. Enter the start date, end date, and statement format.
4. Select Download Statement.

View Statements By Month

Use View to open a PDF statement for a month in your browser.

1. Select the Accounting page.
2. Next to the month you want, select View.
3. Review the PDF statement for that month.

Download Receipts

Use this export to download a zip file that contains receipts submitted for a month.

1. Select the Accounting page.
2. Next to the month you want, select Receipts.

The receipts summary includes the following details:

  • Total number of transactions for the selected month.

  • Total number of receipts submitted.

  • Transactions missing receipts, if receipts are required by an expense policy.

3. Select Download Receipts to download a zip file of all receipts submitted for the selected month.

About CSV Exports

Use this reference to understand what is included in the default CSV export.

A default CSV export of the transaction statement includes the following fields:

  • Date: Date the transaction posted.

  • Authorized on: Date of the expense.

  • Amount

  • Balance

  • Description

  • Payee: Merchant or vendor name.

  • Card: Card description and last four digits of the card.

  • Member: User assigned to the card.

  • Category

  • Department

  • Location

  • Label

  • Receipt URL

  • Note

You can also change the default CSV columns by following Create a Custom CSV.

Use CSV exports for expense audits or to import data into another accounting platform.

Downloading statements exports all transactions in the selected date range. If you need a subset (for example, by card or location), export the CSV and filter the file.
