Reminder: Complete EU and UK Verification Updates by October 31, 2026
Emburse's issuing partner, Stripe, requires additional and updated verification information for existing Emburse Cards organizations in the EU and UK to meet updated regulatory requirements. This reminder applies to organizations that already use Emburse Cards.
The specific information Stripe requests depends on your account. It may include proof of identity (e.g., a passport or driving license); proof of home address (e.g., a utility bill or bank statement); company name and address; a company registration number or other proof-of-business documentation; additional information about an account representative, director, or ultimate beneficial owner (UBO); or a digital attestation confirming the company's directors or UBOs. Not every organization needs every item. The Emburse Cards Dashboard displays the specific items required for your account.
If you already submitted the requested information, no further action is needed. If you do not complete verification by the October 31 deadline, payouts will be disabled on the account, and transactions or cards may experience processing issues.
Who is affected? Existing EU and UK Emburse Cards customers that Stripe identifies for updated verification.
What action is required? Sign in to the Emburse Cards Dashboard and select the banner at the top of the page. Review the required information and submit the items Stripe requests for your account.
Deadline: October 31, 2026.
Why this change is happening: Stripe must collect updated verification information to meet current EU and UK regulatory requirements for connected accounts.
